Indoor Air Quality
Did you know that your indoor air quality can be up to 5x worse than the quality of the air outside? That’s a lot of dust, pollen, pet dander and more that you could be breathing in every time you inhale. In addition, your heater and air conditioner could be breeding grounds for bacteria, viruses, mold, mildew, and more!
As a homeowner, that’s probably enough to cause you to panic, especially if you or someone in your home suffers from allergies, asthma, or other airway difficulties. The last thing you need is to make breathing even harder!
That’s where we come in. At Paramount Services, we can test your air quality, then help you build a solution that gets you the clean air you need. We don’t offer a one-size-fits-all solution set. Instead, we will craft a plan to improve your air quality based on what we find when we test your home. Call us at (614) 957-8736 to get your air tested and find out which solutions best suit your home.
Our Indoor Air Quality Solutions
Most of the time, the solution your home needs will include a combination of the offerings below. Each of these can work individually, or we can install a combination of them in your home to solve all of your indoor air quality problems.
If your home gets hot and humid, you’ll need to lower the humidity levels instead of just lowering the air temperature. If your air conditioner alone isn’t making you comfortable and the air inside is still too humid, we can install a dehumidifier to help you out. This also makes it less likely that mold, mildew, bacteria and more will thrive in your home, because they usually require a moist environment to grow.
Depending on where you live, you may need to add moisture to your air, rather than take it out. When the air is too dry, you can feel like your eyes, nose, throat and more are always dried out. This can make you feel like you have a constant cold, or it can make you prone to sinus infections and upper respiratory problems. If you wake up and you feel like the inside of your nose is made of cement or you can’t open both eyes for a few minutes, a humidifier is probably a good choice for you.
Unless you have dealt with air quality problems before, it’s likely that your heating and cooling systems use traditional air filters. Replace these with a high-efficiency filter, and you may find that your air quality gets better fast. These filters are available in a wide variety of types, each one designed to filter a different type and size of particle out of your home. We’ll help you choose the filter that will help you deal with the problems we find in your indoor air quality.
Ultra Violet Lights
Installing UV lights at strategic points in your heating and cooling system can effectively kill off bacteria, mold, and more. These have been proven to work well on moving streams of air particles, and they can be an effective way to destroy these invaders of your home’s air. We’ll help you choose ones that work with your system, then install them for you, too.
We know that you want to live well and, to live well, you have to be able to breathe well. If you’re concerned about your indoor air quality, call us for a consultation today. Pretty soon, we’ll have you breathing easier in your home, knowing that your air is clean and clear.
